Professor Chaim Matskin is a leading Israeli urologist. His main areas of work are urological surgery and oncourology. ACADEMIC AND SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

Chaim Matskin received his basic medical education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, after which he was sent to another major Israeli university, Tel Aviv, to undergo clinical residency in urology. After completing advanced courses in urology at the Ichilov-Sourasky Medical Center, Dr. Matskin began his work as an ordinary doctor.

 

The high level of professional competence helped him to take the position first of the senior physician of the urological department, then to head this department at the Assuta clinic. At the same time, he is the Deputy Head of the Medical Center for Research and Development.

 

Chaim Matskin is engaged in teaching and research activities. For successful work in the Department of Urology at Tel Aviv University, he was awarded the title of professor. Prior to that, Dr. Matskin was engaged in scientific research in the United States - in the medical centers of Miami and Memphis.

 

The professor is a member of the Israeli Urological Association and the Commission under the Ministry of Health for the treatment of prostate tumors. In addition, he is a member of the American and European Associations of Urology and is a member of the Presidium of the Israeli Association for Cancer Prevention.

 

Professor Matskin is the author of many articles published in leading medical journals, such as:

  • Transperineal ultrasound as a way to detect large malignant neoplasms of the prostate;
  • Features of computed tomography after the procedure of subcutaneous nephrolithotomy;
  • The role of dutasteride in the development of prostate cancer.
